Rosemary Kamuyu is a health economist with over 5 years’ experience working in the field of costing and health financing in HIV/AIDS, Family Planning, Neglected Tropical Diseases in Kenya, South Sudan, Mozambique, Tanzania, Guyana and Jamaica. She is a holder of a master’s degree in economics from the University of Nairobi.
Her interests are in microeconomics, health economics, data analysis, monitoring, evaluation and micro-analysis, costing, budgeting, cost effectiveness analysis. Ms. Kamuyu is passionate about Newborn Health financing and development of investment cases in Newborn care particularly Small and Sick Newborns. She has supported countries in Africa including Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda to mobilize resources to improve newborn health financing while working at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Additionally, she has demonstrated the ability to apply and implement monitoring and evaluation systems, data collection and data management systems for several project while working at the Kenya Medical Research Institute. She is skilled in conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis, generating data reports in compliance with procedures, agreements, and evaluation systems.
